Storm Warning II Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 First there was the 30#er taken by a fellow PA Lake Erie guy in the Orleans County Pro Am... Then there was the big one caught by Dave Sullivan of Hot Reels on the Canadian side... Now there is this brute caught on Tuesday afternoon in the western basin... Wow. Can't wait to see what comes to the scales this fall...
GLF Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 WOW! I would like to see a 30lber come out of Lake Michigan. Preferably in my boat.
DIRTY DOG Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 HOLLY SH-T, i sure wish we had a few of those in lake mi like we did in th 70s and early 80s
Storm Warning II Posted June 27, 2008 Author Posted June 27, 2008 Not to make you Michigan guys jealous or anything, but Mr. A TOM MIK caught a 29#+ today off Oswego too...I think there are gonna be some real TOADS weighed in for the Fall LOC. Keep your ears on...
SkeinMachine Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 A-TOM-MIK Tom with his 29.09 lb grand prize leading LOC derby King............. Pro-Troll with a #T23 fly(green krinkle)
slipknot Posted June 29, 2008 Posted June 29, 2008 Thats great to hear/see... Headed out from the 10th to 15th to give it a run. Hoping we get into some even bigger ones when we go back in late August and they've packed on some pounds!
Blue Knight Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 I heard Scotty got a 30 plus today. One day too late for the Salmon Masters & a few days early for the GOSD. That's at least two fish over 30 for Darlington.
Storm Warning II Posted July 3, 2008 Author Posted July 3, 2008 More fish porn... Heard of a definite 1 x 30# off Darlington in the last couple of days there Blue Knight. Here is one from the north shore (not sure what port?) that is 31#!
Blue Knight Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 SW11 that's the fish I was referring to. It was caught on Scotty's boat off Darlington.
Storm Warning II Posted July 9, 2008 Author Posted July 9, 2008 Thanks for the clarification BD.Wish I was up north fishing, the walleye action has been BIG TIME hit or miss on the "E". All the steelies also seem to be on your shore as well. I had 66.7 at 65' down in 72 fow on Sunday.
Storm Warning II Posted July 10, 2008 Author Posted July 10, 2008 Look at the GOSD board, a mere 4 days into the derby!!!!http://www.sportsmensshows.com/cgi-bin/salmonderby/webapp.pl?rm=show&page=report
Storm Warning II Posted July 15, 2008 Author Posted July 15, 2008 Alright SkeinMan, give up the goods...We want the fish porn of the 35 1/2 taken off the Credit this week...40# may happen before we even get to August!!!
Blue Knight Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 If you want to get in the top ten on the GOSD leader board this week you'll need at least a 30lber. Tenth spot up until today is 29.78lbs. I wonder how long before a 40lber hits the board.
Rayman96 Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 As of now all 30 pounders. Check it out.http://www.sportsmensshows.com/cgi-bin/salmonderby/webapp.pl?rm=show&page=report
Storm Warning II Posted July 22, 2008 Author Posted July 22, 2008 2008 Summer LOC Grand Prize Salmon: 31.14# pulled on Familiar Bite between Olcott and Wilson in 200 fow.
