LkEffect
Headed straight west from the harbor and set up 6 miles out in roughly 180 fow. Water temp was around 60 on the surface. The water temps gradually cooled off as we continued to troll out. We did not come across any major temp breaks or scum lines but passed through a number of slick water areas on our way out. In 210'-230' the temps were in the low 50's and we caught a variety of small salmon and small steelhead. 225' of copper with green cory's bait stingray and 10 color with blue mixed veggies stingray had the most hits in that water as well as a slide diver 85' back with double orange crush stingray. As we continued to troll west the water temps slowly dropped to 49 degrees and we hooked into some bigger steelhead and lake trout in the 300'-400' depth range. Best setups out there were 3 color with stinger jawbreaker and slide diver 100' back with a stinger red devil. Trolled out as far as 12 miles, then trolled back in and got into the small salmon again when the temps got back into the low 50's. This time through the best setups were downriggers set at 45'-60' with blue cory's bait stingray and green glow stingray. Trolled 2.9-3.1 mph throughout the morning. Good luck!
