Augres walleye

Fished out from Augres mouth today 22-33 fow. Caught 8 -only 2 legal. bb and meat. Not many boats out but nice morning.

Well I did make it out today. We took Jack's 17 footer. We fished in behind the nets in 12 FOW and was quickly into a nice fish. The walleye measured 25-1/2 inches. We boated a catfish and that was it. I wanted to go deeper, (30 FOW) but the wind picked up and we were in 2-1/2 footers with an occasional 3. We should have taken the Priority1, but the weather reports didn't indicate the 2-1/2 footers. These waves on the bay are much different than 3 footers over deep water. Anyway there is enough fish in that one for us to dine tomorrow. We will get em next week. Oh!!! My old standby Purple Harness did the deed.
