JWheeler Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 Received an invite from IndyBleck to fish on Friday. Took the day and hit the water. Setup around 8:30 east of the Spark plug in 18fow. Set out 6 rods all with harnesses. Didn't take long and we were getting into them. Set the BB & harnesses back 65 -90' which was productive right out of the gate. Finished the day 15/19, kept a 2 man limit, threw back 4 undersized and 1 sheep. Hot tickets were fishlander purple vudoo & happy hooker. Also taking fish were a firetiger blade, an orange/yellow blade, small white glow blade, a custom bumble bee rig, and copper blade. Tried a few tots, 50/50 with nothing. Also tried a few deep divers 125' back also with nothing. Seems to be a live bait harness bite. Thanks for the awesome day IndyBleck! Good Luck...
GLF Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 Those look like they are possesd. See how the eyes are glowing? You better give them to me and let me take care of them for you. Nice job Jason!
JWheeler Posted May 19, 2008 Author Posted May 19, 2008 P1, planning on being up in your neck of the woods Saturday & maybe Sunday too. Hopefully the fish will cooperate. Should have this fresh batch all eaten up by the weekend, so I will need some more for the fry pan. I don't know if possessed walleye taste any different then regulars, but they sure were delicious....
Priority1 Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 I'm going to give it a whirl tomorrow, if the weather cooperates. Give me a call.
JWheeler Posted May 20, 2008 Author Posted May 20, 2008 Lost all my # 's off my old phone. PM me yours and I'll call you tomorrow evening.....
Priority1 Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 Priority1 got a bath today. We were looking for fish, and came up empty. The high winds yesterday had them scattered. The water temps are cold for this time of year. Fish the inner inner for awhile. When surface temps get around 60 here AuGres will shine. Mid 50s surface temps. We need some warm rains and Day temps around 70.
