Boat Safety

So I am fairly new to fishing. I am not sure where to even ask, but I was looking to get an Autotether (www.autotether.com)...my dog and son come on the boat with me and my dog tends to jump out and it takes me a while to realize he is gone so I have to search for him so I was going to put a transmitter on him in the event he jumps again. I think it would be good to have a transmitter on my son just to be safe. Has anyone tried an Autotether?

Autotether must be new...seems like no one has used it. I guess I will have to be one of the first to try it out. I heard they were at a few boat shows and were a hit.

So I ended up purchasing an Autotether. I wanted to test it to make sure it works...as soon as the personal sensor submerged in the water the boat shut off. I feel confident that if an accident were to occur I would be safe.
