GLF Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 I took my boat out on the lake for its maiden voyage yesterday. My plan was to test the Dive Bombs and work on some depth curves. While we were testing the dive bombs, we had 3 inline boards out. We ended talking one 3lb hen steelhead on a 2 color with a #9 orange jointed Rapala. She came in 30 FOW. We marked some baitfish in the 20-30FOW range. After finishing the testing, we put out a full spread. We never had another bump. The surface temp was 51 in shallower and 49.8 in 35FOW. We saw several boats out fishing. Listening to the radio, there are a few fish being caught. One boat fishing in 70FOW had 3. It was a beautiful day the lake yesterday until the wind kicked up. Then it felt like the temperature dropped 10 degrees. I think we would have picked up more fish if we would have started off targeting fish.
