Nailer Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Every year shortly after ice out the Loons stop by our lake on there trip North. I was hopping to get a better shot but, he was a bit out there. They stay any where from 1 to 3 weeks. As soon as the first Jet Ski hits the lake there gone.

I used the 1D and a 70-200 mm sigma lens. with a 1.4 Extender. I had to crop this pic quite a bit to get it close, so It look a bit soft.I'm going to keep trying to get a real close one but, as soon as he sees me he heads the other way. He will dive out in 25' of water and come up 75 yards away.I wish they would stay longer, they are beautiful foul.
