Anyone ever catch a Mud Dog, Or mud Puppy?

My buddy was perch fishing off of Lorain this weekend and caught a mud puppy.

Isn't that weird for being in 30' of Water?????

I have always seen them in streams in PA, but I did not think they were in the Great Lakes????

They were fishing and the sun had just gone down when they pulled it up.

It scared the hell out of them!

Four legs and flaired gills and all.

We used to Sturgeon fish St. Clair when I was a kid.....

Hang out all night long in the 80ft holes. Giant treble hooks.

When the bell rings its not always Sturgeon.....

MUD PUPPIES!!!!!
