crewsout Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 what color peanut flies should i pull behind the small red dodger for spring coho.
joelsanders Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 i just picked up a couple ,chartreuse with orange dots but the ones i got are only about the size of a bottle cap ,do they make bigger ones? i wanted to try them behind my moonbells for lakers!
Paulywood Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 There is a size in between the Peanut and a regular King fly. I think it's just called a coho fly. Black/purple is a pretty standard coho color. I think that the theory is the gaudier the better.
HitMan Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 I know some of the best coho flies last year were the Riptide, Fission, Viper Jr. and Undertow Rapture Trolling Flies. These were all used behind the red and orange dodgers. These were all from reports in St. Joe around the bottom of the lake to Racine. Mainly out of East Chicago and Winthrop Harbor.
ironman Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 Our Coho Candy flies have been picked up by a distributor on the Michigan side. You should start to see them in the stores. If not you can ask and they will be available to the stores. Our top 2 sellers of the Coho Candy are the Blue Green & Gold Crinkle and Mardi Gras. The blues and greens in general sell very well as well as the white crinkle and mirage.Matt
