GLF Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 What is the name on everyone's boat? How did you come up with the name?
Sixshooter Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 i have the "Sixshooter"and the "Half Dozen"
Midway97 Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 Named when I bought her, bad luck to change it
Steelhead Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 Wave Dancer. It was on it when I bought the boat. Like Midway said it is bad luck to change it.
DangerDan Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 I will be adding the names to my boats this winter, The Slickcraft aka "Zero Balance" (this is what the wife says I do to the bank account over boating/fishing) and my jet boat "Twiggy" because she's a skinny lil skinny water boat.I don't think it's bad luck to change a boats name provided the proper cerimony is performed.
Steve Arend Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 "RUNNING ARENDS"Since my last name is pronounced the same as "Errands"Steve
CaptLevi Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 Steve, I heard your boat was named Bumper.... My charter is "Sportboat"; again already there when purchased My other is "Manofish Destiny"; given to her by the Sixshooter My next boat will either be called "ImmediateDivorce" or "GonnaGetBobbited4This"
Severus Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 "Colossus", a 16' Lund. Kind of like calling the big guy "Tiny", only in reverse. My last boat, a 26' Baretta, I named "Sold" as I watched the new owner drive away with it. I believe I was happier that day than on the day I bought it.
CaptLevi Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 "MANOFISH DESTINY " IS STILL FOR SALE BY THE WAY. I will be listing it in the classifieds as soon as I get a new digital. I would import some pics from that other site if I knew how. But alas, I am not savvy enough for that.Lower price, and full day charter on Sportboat thrown in.

bluedevil Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 I named mine Bluedevil cause the boats blue and I can be a little devil sometimes. I have had the boat for 4 years now but wish I would have put a little more time and creativity into the name. Oh well there is always the next one.

Mrs. Sixshooter Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 Hopefully, when Jim buys me my new boat (25' Sportcraft.....someday) I would love to call it Six Cents.
TROUT TRACKER Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 Kind of a different story how I got my boat name (and site name) One day I was fishing in ludington in my 17' tracker boat i used to have, I was talking to some guys in the lot and they asked me my handle so they could contact me on the water, well i had never really chatted on the radio or thought of naming my boat before so i thought about it for a second and looked at my boat and the sticker on the side said Bass Tracker:eek: So I thought well I am not a bass fisherman ,I am a trout fisherman so hense the name TROUT TRACKER. I now have a 18 foot lund tyee but the name stuck with me.
Josh Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 "Red Hook" after the name of my company, Red Hook Tackle, which was started by the previous owner in Red Hook, NY.

Capt. Mike Posted February 11, 2006 Posted February 11, 2006 My wife "let" me buy my first new boat in 1999. Thought of the name on the way home from picking it up. I/O HER (big time)Looking for a bigger boat now. Name would probably be "Divorce Papers". LOL
Take Six... Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 "Take Six" comes from the phrase that movie directors use when they start the same scene over again because someone missed something or made a mistake and they have to start over. Take One was a Rinker, Take Two was a Celebrity, Take Three was a Carver, Takes Four, Five and Six have been Crestliners. Maybe I should have named this one, "That's a wrap!"
Priority1 Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 PRIORITY1 It was on the boat when I bought her. It seemed to fit so I kept the name.
The Dog House Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 As with many of the others, my wife named mine....Because that is where I was after I purchased it....In "The Dog House"
sarah c Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 my boat name and handle on the radio as well as screen name is "sarah c". reason for choosing the name even though people mistake me for a lady is because of my fishing buddy and best friend and daughter Sarah Christina Norton.
