caznik Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 Hello Member's, Went out this morning with my father in law and caught 25 very nice bluegills at Lawhead Lake in Barry Co. Fishing were very good first thing in the morning and then around 9am it slowed right down. Hot lures was blue and glow moon glow and a pink and purple. The hot bait was wax worms and all the fish was 2-3 foot off from the bottom. Good luck everyone and get out there and do some ice fishing, Caznik
caznik Posted January 6, 2008 Author Posted January 6, 2008 how much ice up there rich I say there must of been 4-5" of pretty good ice on Lawhead Lake. But looking out doors right now this morning. I don't think the ice is going to be safe now. Last night I went out to Lower Lake and I fell threw the ice as soons I got on. But it just went to my top of my boots. But I went out there anyways and the ice on that Lake didn't look good at all. Lots of water on top and there was 4" of ice on that lake. Better just hold off right now and plan on steelhead fishing this coming weekend.Rich
Priority1 Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 I'm glad you was able to get out before this Jan thaw takes the ice out.
