Weather Module

I have added a new weather feature to the site. It only shows up on the home page.

The first time you view it, you will have this display.

Notice where it shows "Local Weather". There is a link to click on that will take you to your profile. Scroll down to the bottom and there is a place to enter your zip code. NO ONE can view your zip code. After you enter your zip code, click on "Save".

Then return to the home page. You should now see something that looks like this in place of the empty block.

Guest to the site see this image when they visit the site.

If you have any problems getting it to work, give me a shout.

Sorry Mike. You will need to use a zip code that is closest to you.

When it takes you to "edit profile", scroll down to the bottom and add your zip code. Then click on "save changes". Your zip code is kept private, and is not viewable by anyone.

Your local weather will be on the home page, where you clicked on the link.

This is currently not working. I hope to have this back up on the home page tomorrow.

I have this feature back up and working again. I never realized how nice of a feature this was, until it wasn't there. This saves me from having to visit another website just for the weather.

If anyone is having problems with it, let me know.

I now have this working for US ZIP Codes and Canadian Postal Codes!

Here is a screen shot of the weather module with a Cambridge Postal Code entered in my profile.

It was pointed out to me that it shows Canadian Postal Code weather in F instead of C.

Looks like I have a little more work to do.
