Priority1 Posted October 12, 2007 Share Posted October 12, 2007 Ethanol from corn is a joke, but it did give the farmers a better price for their crop. From the field to the gas tank it takes 1 gallon of fuel to produce 1.25 gallons of ethanol. Then there is the fact that ethanol just doesn't have the same energy as an equal amount of gasoline. Ethanol just doesn't make sense. Coal gasification probably makes more sense. Burn coal, and drink the corn. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
