justenough Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 Hello Everyone,I'm looking for information on gps's I'm going to purchase a new one this winter what I am asking is who has what and any pros or cons about the unit I only want a GPS unit not a combo. Thanks for any help
Billy V Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 I have a Raytheon 425 RC on my boat now. It's an OK unit, but I frankly liked my Eagle Intellimap that was on my last boat better. The Ray I have is monochrome and the Eagle is a sunlight viewable color LCD, which is an amazing screen. I also like the Lowrance/Eagle menus a lot better than the Ray menus. I find them a lot easier to navigate through. The new Lowrance units have high pixel count screens and look fantastic. I bought an Eagle Intellimap 500c to replace the Ray, but have recently been thinking of going bigger to the Lowrance 7200, so I may have the Eagle for sale, brand new in the box.Good luck in your search!
Kings Around Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 I have the Eagle Intellimap with a Great Lakes chip in it and I love it. It has nice color and resolution. I've had it 2 years and don't have any plans on changing it out.
