GLF Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 A youth fishing clinic will be offered at the Department of Natural Resources’ Michigan Fisheries Visitor Center in Oden on Saturday, May 6. The clinic is being offered by the Miller VanWinkle Chamber of Trout Unlimited. Registration is limited to 100 children. The program will begin at 10 a.m. and activities take place until 2:30 p.m. Children will participate in a variety of activities including fly tying, knot tying, bait demonstrations and fishing. A tour of the Oden Fish Hatchery follows the program. Lunch will be provided, along with a raffle and door prizes for all children participating.The clinic is free, but pre-registration is required. To register, call the Michigan Fisheries Visitor Center in Oden at 231-348-0998.The visitor center is located on US 31 in Oden, five miles east of Petoskey.
