Mark Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 Has anyone been using the Berkley cut bait? I gave it a half hearted run for about 45 minutes and it never got touched behind a John KIng flasher off the rigger. It smells worse than the real deal IMHO..or as the package says, 400x more so. I haven't really needed to run meat this year as spinnies and spoons have been pretty good so far up here.
Priority1 Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 I have some, but have NOT run any of it yet. I have had some success running the Gulp crawlers for Walleye.
Live2fishdjs Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 Ran some a couple days last year and it produced. Give it time and use it during a good bite to gain confidence in it.
Satisfaxion_Gauranteed Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 I've used the Berkley strips with success. This is the first year I've run it. Thus far, I'd say they produce roughly the same as a herring strip. If I can't get the real strips to go, then I can't get the Berkley strips to go. If the fish seem to want cut bait, then I can ussually get both kinds to go.The scent is STRONG; not for those with weak stomachs.my 2cents,
