bluedevil Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 Very slow for us today. Absolutely beautiful weather today though, flat water and 60 degree's. Set lines right outside peir heads at 7:15am and headed south. Never hit a fish until 11:00am and lost it too. That fish hit a firetiger rapala 80' behind the big boards. Continued south and did'nt hit our next fish untill we were allmost right out in front off Big Sauble Point. We boated that fish and it was a dandy too. 10+lb fiesty brown. That fish hit an old jointed rapala that had very little paint left on it. Right after netting that fish we hit another nice 4-5lb brown. Second fish came on a small watermelon spoon. We had 2 rips on that spoon. Water temp stayed right around 44.5-45.5 untill we got to the point and it jumped up to mid/high 47 degrees but that may be due to normal daytime warming.

huntingfool43 Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 Nice going Matt. Good to hear you got the steering issues taken care of.
bluedevil Posted April 16, 2006 Author Posted April 16, 2006 I did get my steering fixed but I was out with a buddy of mine today. I have a few more things to do to my rig to have it ready but should be on the water this coming weekend.
