Catfishhoge Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 Well I did get a couple fellas to ride along this morning but they made me change ports, which didn't actually take much! Jimmy the Sixshooter, Larry the Trout Tracker and I hit the water right about daylight and fished untill 1:00. We worked the shoreline and were rewarded with some nice fish! Four browns were taken and we missed no fish! They hit spoons and stick baits in the traditional fashion for spring time fishing in West Michigan. The water temp was 47* and had a stain to it that was a suprise to see. As always it was a pleasure to have these two aboard for the day! Thanks guy's! Rick
ratcityhooker Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 Good job on the brown Rick. Expecially with the crew you got stuck with. Larry
bluedevil Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 Good job Rick and crew. That is a suprise on the stain in the water. We only ran into one small spot that had a stain in Manistee today and that was about 3-4 miles south of the harbor. Other than there and right at the pier heads it was crystal clear water.
caznik Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 Nice job guys,Maybe I will get out next weekend.Rich
GLF Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 Them look bigger than the fish I have seen Jim with so far this year. Maybe he is onto bigger fish now NIce job and thanks for the report.
TROUT TRACKER Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 Thanks for the ride Rick it was an enjoyable day with some nice fish to boot glad I woke up that morning after being out chasing some other fishies till 2:00 A.M waking up at 4:00 A.M and heading to wayland to meet up with Jimmy,By the way the earlier trip yielded no results:mad:
Sixshooter Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 Thanks for the ride Rick. I had a great time. Can't wait for the next one.
Butch Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 Thanks for the report and nice fish. The fish must be scarce up there for three catchermen like Catfish, TT and Six to only catch 4.
Sixshooter Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 We were okay with that Matt....Since the next closest crew we talked to reported 0.It was a wonderful day on the water indeed. Unfortunatly I'm on call this weekend so if I fish it will probably be for panfish around home somewhere.
Butch Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 We were okay with that Matt....Since the next closest crew we talked to reported 0.My point exactly;)
