kuz Posted July 22, 2007 Posted July 22, 2007 Went out this am with 4 buddys out of Au gres but ended up going down to Standish and banged them with meat and inlines had a 4 man limit in just a little over 2 hrs. The walleye have moved south again, see the indians bought great lakes marina with plans of tearing down and putting in a new harbor for the big boats so they can gamble at the new casino
Priority1 Posted July 22, 2007 Posted July 22, 2007 GJ Kuz, We fished out of AuGres and took 7. Two of those fish came in the last few minutes. I would have liked to fish another hr, but had to be in by noon. We had 2 fish that were 5 to 5-1/2#s. We had 4 fish on about 5 minutes before it was time to pull lines. 2 went in the box. The fish were turning on when it was time for us to go.
JWheeler Posted July 22, 2007 Posted July 22, 2007 I too made my way out of AuGres today. The fishing was definately more work then it was a few weeks ago. However, it was a great day on the water. Started @ the point in 18fow and it was the first rod in, and there was a fish on. Good way to start the day, thought it would be over in no time. Picked away, went to 3 spots, and each spot yielded 1-3 fish. No hogs, but some good eaters. Tally for the day was 6. Silver/Blue Dave's Kaboom, Meat on CHBB, and not one taker on a spoon. Good Luck...
Indybleck Posted July 23, 2007 Posted July 23, 2007 Was out there too and about the same results. We were a little deeper than what Jason was fishing but the same kind of bite. Slow and had to sort, but did get one nice perch and that was nice to see. Hey Priorty One I sent you a pm if you are going to be fishing the Au Gres tourny this weekend, get hold of me I'll be up Thursday - Saturday maybe we can hook up or something. Tom
Priority1 Posted July 23, 2007 Posted July 23, 2007 I answered your PM Tom. I'm not fishing that tourney but I should be around all weekend. Probably will not go out fishing until at least Sun. I'll need to recover from the 3 day trip to Manistee.
Indybleck Posted July 29, 2007 Posted July 29, 2007 Fished the weekend out of AuGres and we had to fight the wind. We ended up with seven on Saturday, nothing big as usual. We started south of Point AuGres and trolled with the wind (SW) till we got to the first plug 24-28 fow. Got them on harnesses blue and silver, black and silver, purple and chartuese beads with copper blades. 1 oz inline and bb 40-65 feet back. We didn't fish the tournament with two small boys because of the weather. The fish were suspended so we went with lighter weight. Oh yeah we caught the biggest sheephead I've seen in a while it had to weigh 15 lbs man that thing was huge. Sorry I ddin't call Frank my wife misplaced your number, if you would pm me again with it thanks. Tom
kuz Posted July 30, 2007 Author Posted July 30, 2007 4 of us fished saturday also and we did the same pattern . Killed them down by the first plug , all on harnesses color did'nt matter 4 man limit and it was alot of fun coming back in those 6'ers
Priority1 Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 WTG Kuz. That must have pounded the crap out of ya. 1 and 2 buoys has produced for me in the past.
