Kings Around Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 Congrats to all the boats that fished the Muskegon Tourney this weekend. If you were at the weigh in, what a treat. Unfortunately we did not fair as well as we would have liked, but we did OK in terms of our cooler. We ended up 10 for 15 or so on Sunday when it counted. Dipsy's were best for us from 60 to 150 back on wire or fireline. Pretty much any spinny and fly combination worked as long as it had green or blue in it. We fished North of Muskegon in 60 - 130 FOW. Our fished had moved (surprise, surprise) because of the big blow on Saturday, but we still managed to weigh 105 lbs of Salmon. Not a bad cooler when you take into account we had a 3 and 6 pounder in the box of 10. Our biggest fish was almost 15 lbs, with 7 others that were between 10 and 12. Friday was good for us to, again north of Muskegon. Between 6:30 and 7:00 on Friday we took 6 fish. Again, Friday's program was mostly spinnies and flies, but don't be afraid to run out a J-Plug now and again;). We took 6 or 8 hits on them this weekend. Our hottest spoon was Screwball. Best fly combos were silver/green spindoctor with Blue hypnotist fly, silver/Blue spindoctor with blue bubble fly and Mt Dew Spindoctor with packer fly. Fishing is terriffic, get out there and get 'em.Great Job on the 10th place finish to Dan (Lion Den)! You could have told me where the trout were:D
