HitMan
Fishing is extremely good out of Grand Haven. Limit catches of large King Salmon (10-18 pounds) are being taken along with a few Steelhead and Lake Trout. The majority of the fish being caught are from 70-125 feet of water. Downriggers 35-85 feet down, 8-17 colors of Lead Core, 150-400 feet of Copper and Divers 105-175 feet back have all been producing well. The Carmel Dolphin Stingray and regular-sized Stinger continues to be one of the hottest baits of the year! The Lime Tuxedo Stingray, Holly Christmas Stingray, Die Hard Stingray, Double Orange Crush Stingray, Yellow Killer Stingray, Stinger Pox Stingray, Lemon Ice Stingray, Tangerine Stingray, Cory's Bait Stingray, Glo Dolphin Stingray, Blue Cory's Bait Stingray, Seasick Stingray, Natural Born Killer Stingray, Blue Veggies Stingray and the Red Headed Stepchild Stingray have all been consistently producing spoons. More and more fish are being taken on flasher/fly combinations everyday. An 11 inch Pro-Troll HotChip White/Glow flasher with an Oceana Rapture Fly or a Frosted Fern Rapture Fly have been consistent producing rigs along with an 8 inch Pro-Troll ProChip White/Glow flasher with an Oceana Rapture Fly or a Hypnotist LG Rapture Fly. Also, an 8 inch Pro-Troll ProChip Green/Glow flasher with a Hypnotist LG Rapture Fly, Wild Fern Rapture Fly, Last Supper Rapture Fly or Green Dude Rapture Fly has been producing as well. The 8 inch Pro-Troll ProChip Blue/Glow flasher with the Blue No-See-Um Rapture Fly, Blue Hypnotist Rapture Fly or Blue Bubble Rapture Fly has been working consistently every morning. The 8 inch Pro-Troll ProChip Chrome/Green and Coyote colored flashers have also been working well with the Hypnotist LG Rapture Fly. Also, the 8 inch Pro-Troll ProChip Chartreuse/Glow flasher with the Yellow No-See-Um or Citron Rapture fly has been very good once the sun gets up and is very bright. Other flies that have been working are the Blue Fern Rapture Fly, Green No-See-Um Rapture Fly and Little Bride Rapture Fly.Good luck to everyone!
