Tad Pole Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 went out tonight set lines about 6:30 in 100 fow and worked west, at 130 fow we turned south and promptly hit a double,Kevorkian spoon down 55 on a rigger and a green meat rig 150 back on a dipsey, landed the one on the rigger(bout a lbs king) meat rig came unhooked,10 min later a black spoon with a orange glow strip(name?) set a 45 popped landed that bout lbs king.by then is was about 8;00 and the radio was a buzz with chatter of a storm coming in so we pulled the boards to prep to run if we had to,the wind came up pretty good and started to rain a bit, then the lightning started and that sealed the deal, pulled the dipseys and was putting away gear and the black spoon with that strip popped again came unhooked after a short fight.also had the Kevorkian hit once more but 30 sec. into that the *&%@#$ snap swivel broke.so we went 2 for 5. all fish and hits came in 120-103 fow. 8:30 we ran for the channel it was kickin up pretty good got a little wet (rain&waves) 9:00 motoring threw the channel and the sun was poppin out again debated going back out but decided to call it a night.looking forward to the 7-14 wmfl event!
