Stoney Lake

First day in first boat on the big lake off of Stoney Lake (20 Mi. South of Pentwater). Boated two 10-12 pound kings before boy started turning green @ 10 am. 82 & 130 ft. of water. Monkey Puke caught both (seems appropriate). Running between 2 and 2.5 mph -guessing. Any advice?

well that ya caught fish means you are doing something right,but if it was me i would try speeding up just a touch,say 2.5 to 3.0 depending on currents.watch your rigger cables and dipseys they will help you with the current thing,just find a speed that works for ya and take note on how the cables and dipseys look and try to match that all the time regardless of what the GPS says.
