HitMan Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 Fishing has improved out of Grand Haven. Good catches of King Salmon are being taken along with a few Lake Trout and Steelhead as well. The best fishing has been from 140-210 feet of water. Downriggers 40-160 feet down, 3-20 colors of Lead Core, 150-450 feet of Copper and Divers 120-190 feet back have all been producing well. The Carmel Dolphin Stingray has been one of the hottest baits of the year! This has been working great on 10 colors, 15 colors, 150 and 225 feet of Copper. The Natural Born Killer Stingray and Lime Edge Stingray have been very good as well on 10 colors of Lead Core and also on Downriggers. The Double Orange Crush Stingray, Double Kevorkian Stingray, Goldie Locks Stingray, Orange Crack regular-sized Stinger, Stinger Pox Stingray, Glo Dolphin Stingray, Blue Cory's Bait Stingray and Cory's Bait Stingray have all been good producing spoons. A few fish are also being taken on flasher/fly combinations. An 11 inch Pro-Troll ProChip White/Glow flasher with an Oceana Rapture Fly has been very good all year from St. Joe to Whitehall along with an 8 inch Pro-Troll ProChip White flasher with a Hit Man No-See-Um Rapture Fly or an Oceana Rapture Fly. The Oceana Rapture Fly has been our most consistent producing fly of the year! Also, an 8 inch Pro-Troll ProChip Green/Glow flasher with a Wild Fern Rapture Fly or Hypnotist Rapture Fly has been producing as well. Other flies that have been working are the Hypnotist LG Rapture Fly, Last Supper Rapture Fly, Sniper Rapture Fly, Green No-See-Um Rapture Fly and Blue No-See-Um Rapture Fly.The typical June fishing is not here! Many limits of Kings are being caught within a few hours! Get out fishing and good luck to all!
