Pull battery, take it to AutoZone get it tested, Battery is fine full charge. Back to the baot hook it up again, after cleaning terminals, starts right up. By this time, already 9:30, I gettin fed up, but I'm goin' fishin!Get out of the harbor head west looking for fish. Couple guys on the radio, fishin East and shallow 12-16 FOW. I find fish in 32 fow, oh boy set two rods 1 big dipsey, with copper stinger back 40' off the reel. The other a flat line with a copper spoon/harness( Thanks Capt. Dan) on it with 1 1/2 oz of weight.Fish on! got one to take the spoon/harness . Gone. fish 1 me 0.then in same troll dipsey goes, 4# walleye. Fish 1 me 1.And that was the extent of my trip. Out at 9:30 in bye 12:301 for 2.The Lake was flat, no breeze at all, Strong current from west to east.Got fish trolling against the current. Nothing going back with it.
Priority1 Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Well batting 500 is GR8 in baseball. It's nice to get the shakedown cruise under your belt. We have been doing well with crawlers on the Saginaw Bay. I'm sure if you didn't have the battery terminal problem, you would have did much better.
shu9265 Posted May 25, 2007 Author Posted May 25, 2007 What time of the day are you finding most productive?Early mornings, or late in the afternoon, early evenings?Yeah, got the shakedown jinx out of my hair now for some real fishin"
