GLF Posted May 13, 2007 Posted May 13, 2007 Well....I went up to work on the boat today. It took me 1 hour to get through Grand Haven, because they were working on the bridge and had it down to one lane :angry2: Marine Forecast SATURDAY NORTH WINDS 5 TO 15 KNOTS. PARTLY SUNNY. WAVES 2 TO 4 FEET SUBSIDING TO 1 TO 3 FEET. It was around 4:30 when I finished working on the boat(installed new radio) Knowing the marine forecast, I decided I would take the boys out fishing. Well as you can see by the photo, they only made it to the channel before they were dreaming about screaming drags and 50lb chinook's :D I hit the end of the inner pier, and put the boat on plane. Hit the outer break wall and was greeted by 3-5's So much for the marine forecast Knowing I could not run lines and the boat by myself in 3-5's, we made a short trip out, turned around went back to the dock. There will be another day.
Priority1 Posted May 13, 2007 Posted May 13, 2007 3-5 footers take the fun out of it anyway. Mike,It just don't get any better than that. You are creating memories that will last a lifetime. Those boys will be setting lines before you know it. They grow up way too fast. Enjoy every minute you can with them. Just love them kids. I have a 4 yo grandson that pretends his bed is a boat complete with downriggers.
Sea-Mac Posted May 13, 2007 Posted May 13, 2007 I never fell asleep on the boat when my dad brought me out ,makes me wish i could get away with it now seeing those guys. I have a 4 yo grandson that pretends his bed is a boat complete with downriggers. lol
GLF Posted May 15, 2007 Author Posted May 15, 2007 Here is a pencil sketch that Frank(Priority1) did of my boys. We are going to have this made into a picture to hang on the wall. Actually...he used photoshop Thanks Frank!
muskybob Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 Great picture and Photoshop sketch. Those memories will last the boys a lifetime. You're a lucky man. God Bless the children.
