CAC Posted September 20 Posted September 20 Just wondering if the prevailing thought is that all 4yo kings have gone up river? thanks I got a 37 1/2 inch dark king in around 140 fow last week in Whitehall, but I expect that most have either went up the river or are waiting close to the piers. Bigbones Posted September 20 Author Posted September 20 Thanks! I’d really like one more in open water.
FBD Posted September 20 Posted September 20 Most kings like 95% have run after three summers in the lake. I think the last study I saw on the grand was 5% after one summer 50% each two summers and three summers and a few four or more summers.
FBD Posted September 20 Posted September 20 There’s been a huge slug of bath water stacked up over here I would highly expect some repair mature fish (regardless of age) to be behind that water still waiting to run.
Bigbones Posted September 20 Author Posted September 20 Wellll I will try to take a crack at em this weekend in SOHA. Hope Springs…..
jerryriggin Posted September 20 Posted September 20 This was Manistee last weekend and they are still out there

Reel-y-hooked Posted September 20 Posted September 20 Nice work ! Any depth of water in particular or best presentations ? Slim spoons have been pretty good down here in the holland region.
jerryriggin Posted September 20 Posted September 20 Flies or meat your choice haven’t ran a spoon for kings since april fished 100 fow and then out to 220 once the sun comes up 1
dog tracker Posted September 20 Posted September 20 Kalamazoo had some fish last weekend but no 4 year olds that i saw. Mostly 2 and 3 year olds that were still pretty silver and the meat was still pink
