Yankee Troller Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 I dont use them anyway becasue they are generally more expensive!
Billy V Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 The Mobil down the street from here is at $3.25/gal for regular unleaded!OUCH!!!!!!!!!
shu9265 Posted May 3, 2007 Author Posted May 3, 2007 Here in Cleveland area, ranges from 2.98 to 3.29 per gallon for regular. This has got to STOP ! !
muskybob Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 Sounds like a good idea, but what are we gonna do the next day when the companies raise the prices by 25 cents to cover the loss? It's a possibility and I'm sure the companies have a plan in place to combat it. Have you ever tried towing a 22 footer with a 10 speed mountain bike?
silver one Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 Good point bob. What people dont realize is that all of our oil comes from the same suppliers and if you research it on the internet. you will find that exon mobile supplies over 80% of all the fuel in the country. I would like to boycot them to but you might better boycot our great american beuracracy called the us government. There running the show. Exon Mobile is just taking advantage of what the government is allowing them to do. Just like the banks and just like insurance companines. The only difference between the Mofia and the government is the Mofia used guns pointed at your head to take your money and the government just calles it against the law and threatains to throw you in jail if you dont give them your money.
Satisfaxion_Gauranteed Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 Down here along Portage Rd in Kalamazoo, gas is around $3.49. In little old Decatur, it was $3.35 this morning. Both, my truck and boat need gas..........."As you know, the government takes 40 percent of what you make. The other 60 percent, of course, taken by the gas stations." -- Jay Leno
muskybob Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 I started out to fish on Saturday with a quarter tank in the truck. Stopped to fill up and.....$67 for the truck, $33 for the boat. A hundred dollar bill to go fishing. When I got back, I had just a little over a quarter tank in the truck and the boat was empty.
DIRTY DOG Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 this is going to make it VERY HARD TO GO FISHING EVERY WEEKEND THIS YEAR at 3.49 a gallon and up i only live 20 min. from the lake and 5 miles from work this equals out to 100 plus $s a week and that do,s not count the wifes car
Satisfaxion_Gauranteed Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 I feel your pain. I have an easy to tow boat and live about 30miles away from the lake. Towing the boat, the truck gets around 13mpg. My lightweight boat with a 4 stroke outboard doesn't use much gas, either. Even with that, $3.50(and sure to rise) per gallon means I spend roughly $35 just in gas to fish. That's just to fish 1 day per weekend. My wife and I carpool to and from work. Our car averages 28mpg and it takes $40-$45 just to put 12 gallons in that tank. I can remember in highschool(I'm 27 now) it would take a twenty dollar bill to fill up any of our cars and we'd have money leftover to go to a movie! That was just 8-9 years ago. Now I do feel old........I won't mention the 27+ gallon tanks we all have on our tow vehicles.........
Hunt4Ever Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 Forget it! Wall Street loves XOM. They are up almost 30 points since this time last year. Most of ExxonMobile's profit is not from refinned product but from profits on crude in storage. If the commidity goes up, they make money without doing anything. I love doing that!
