husker Posted February 9, 2023 Posted February 9, 2023 Have to go to a wedding mid October in Benton Harbor. Looks like I could do some fishing!! Usually don't hire guides but do DIY. Is it possible to catch a few fish? Thanks for your forum and any help.
FBD Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 Should be some steelhead trickling into the river by then. Little early for lakers or whitefish around the piers as the lake will likely be a little too warm yet. Little too late for kings in close and St. Joe doesn't get too many of those any more. But casting any bright spoons around the piers or in the river channel should stand a decent chance of finding a silver bullet.
husker Posted February 13, 2023 Author Posted February 13, 2023 (edited) A silver would be great! Almost never take a guide. I love trying to DIY and I'm cheap. Forums can be such a great help! I may need to start a page for pond fishing in rural Nebraska. I'm sure that would interest millions. Thanks so much for the reply. Edited February 13, 2023 by husker spelling
