Lowrance Outboard Pilot with cable steer for an I/O?

Has anyone installed the Lowrance Outboard Pilot with the cable steer drive on an I/O boat with power assisted cable steering? I recently bought my old boat back and need to replace the old Raymarine sport pilot+ unit which is no longer working. Based on the installation details, I can't see why it wouldn't work but I'm curious to know if someone else has tried it. I installed that same autopilot system on my 18ft Starcraft Fishmaster…connected to my Lowrance HDS 3 Carbon fish finder…trolled Lake Erie with it several times…worked great…allowed two guys to fish easily
