Maybe it's just me but it seems like the pier runs have really just fizzled out in recent years. When I was a kid in the 2000's every port it seemed would get a week or so window where they would hang out in front of the piers and in the channels but now even on good runs they seem to go from deep straight to the headwaters or rivers.
