Pier fishing lake trout

1. What size / type of spoons do you use casting for lake trout from piers? I heard little Cleos 3/4 oz but they look pretty big. Do 3/4 oz Cleos work for steelhead too? Anyone use ko wobblers or moonshine for lakers?
Are moonshine spoons more of a night time thing?

2. What pound line do you use? Are lake trout line shy?

3. do crankbait deep divers work for lakers? any favorites ?

Lake trout in cold water are very aggressive and not line shy and will hit about anything.  Also, they have very large mouths - a 7# laker can eat a 1# fish easily.  Check out the mouth on this one for example, granted it's much bigger than 7#.
