After three failed trips in the spring and motor problems that just finally got resolved I finally made it back out. Fished 9-1 starting in 130 out to 150 with no bites and no bait. Worked back in to 120 and starting marking lots of bait and fish in 120 -110 ft . Had three knock offs on a free sliding green knight rv moonshine down 85 on the main but could not connect. Finally connected on a 12 and 15 pound king in 120 ft at 11:45 and 12:15 both on a braided diver set on two back 185 with a chrome frog sd with a green gas meat rig . Felt good to be back on the water and nice to know there are kings around in south haven. Given the amount of boats out it would be nice to start seeing more reports, been a pretty tight lipped year .
