NWMI Fishing Club Wednesday Night Season Begins!

The NWMI Fishing Club starts its Wednesday Night Weekly Fishing contests on May 12th at the Bingham Launch on Lake Leelanau.

 

Come on out and enjoy a great night of fishing! The weather is predicted to be warm and calm.

 

We will be paying out to the largest walleye and largest northern pike. $10 enters you in both divisions.

 

A club member must be present in the boat to participate, we will be signing up new memberships in the parking lot.

 

Lines in from 6pm to 10pm. Registration starts at 515pm.

Last night on Lake Leelanau (12MAY2021), our weekly fishing league had its first event of the year. The weather was beautiful and the winds were low at less then 5mph.

16 anglers came out to participate for their luck at the largest walleye by weight and the largest pike. 3 anglers were able to catch walleyes with no pike brought in.

Matt Tallman was able to take first place with a 1.43lb walleye with Les Dennis taking home second with a 1.10lb walleye. Due to no pike being weighed we were able to pay out two places. Zach Crawford was also able to bring a nice .99lb walleye.

Several undersized walleyes were caught and many smallmouth bass and rocks bass too. Thanks for participating!



Reminder, come join us next week, Wednesday May 19th at Long Lake, 19MAY2021, Crescent Shores launch, 6 lines in to 10 pm, lines out.

Weigh your 1 biggest walleye, or 1 biggest "other species" could earn you some bragging rights and cash.

$10 entry fee per angler, and at least 1 person on the boat needs to be a NWMI Fishing Club member.

Registration starts at 515pm in the Crescent Shores Parking Lot. Membership packets will be available too if you need a member in your boat.

Weigh in will start when all boats are accounted for (est 1030ish).

This Wednesday, 30 June, from 6-9pm, The NWMI Fishing Club will be hosting our weekly contest on Glen Lake this week. We will be paying first and second place for heaviest fish (any species).

$10 per angler, one angler per boat must be a club member. Membership signup and registration begins at 530pm. Lines in at 6. Lines out at 9. Weigh-in shortly after 9pm.
