Summary of Cisco in The Crisco:

1st place combined bag (1-man Cisco limit plus 1-man lake trout limit) Total weight= 24lbs

2nd place combined bag = 16lbs

3rd place combined bag = 8lbs

1st Heaviest Cisco only (Champion) bag = 16lbs

Largest Laker Side bet option winner was 3.8 lbs. There was a heavier laker caught, but that fish was not part of the side bet option, so did not receive a payout.

Overall, Cisco size and numbers were noticeably down from the last few contests we have hosted on East Bay. Water is still cold 41-43 degrees and no real big pods were located. While cleaning them, they were full of small alewife (1.5”-2”). Good to see that bait, troubling to see Ciscos loaded with them.

Great fish fry was served up and good payouts were handed out as well.

After the wind calmed and the sun came out, it made for a nice morning. Cold start however.

Next event is Lake Leelaunau on Wednesday evening (12May). Biggest walleye and biggest pike will pay. Should be the “real first day of spring” and a nice evening out there.
