Another New Guy

I am a retired guy who has always enjoyed outdoor sports of all kinds.  Most recently I have been bass fishing.  My son just purchased a boat for his family and invited me to get into trolling in Lake Michigan with him.  I've become fascinated with the equipment and techniques used for Salmon and trout.  I imagine that it will also be frustrating in the next year when we actually start to fish.  Thanks to all of you who willingly offer advice and share your knowledge about this sport.  I am learning a lot!
