Cadilac Grills Posted October 17, 2020 Posted October 17, 2020 Fished the surf Friday morning wind was blowing hard out of the west. We were 7 for 8. All fish were caught using fresh king spawn Sent from my iPhone using Great Lakes Fisherman 4

ThreeDogsDown Posted October 17, 2020 Posted October 17, 2020 That dog looks like he is helping. Great pics! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1
Cadilac Grills Posted October 19, 2020 Author Posted October 19, 2020 Believe it or not she only goes after the pyramid sinkers it’s like the fish isn’t even there. Dogs are funny like that!!!Sent from my iPhone using Great Lakes Fisherman
ThreeDogsDown Posted October 19, 2020 Posted October 19, 2020 Thats funny. Hard on the teeth. Ha! I am heading out right now. Trolling the beach from Frankfort to Arcadia. I had to pick the coldest morning (23 degrees here in Traverse City). Will report. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
FBD Posted October 19, 2020 Posted October 19, 2020 Best report I've seen in a long time. Thanks for sharing. 2
Cadilac Grills Posted October 19, 2020 Author Posted October 19, 2020 I’ve always wanted to troll the beaches in the fall time. Every time I bring my boat and try it’s blowing 25+ . Let me know how you do and good luck be safe!!!Sent from my iPhone using Great Lakes Fisherman
ThreeDogsDown Posted October 20, 2020 Posted October 20, 2020 Well, nothing significant to report. A few guys were on the north and south piers. Couldn’t tell if they were doing any good. Didn’t see any movement or nets swinging. We launch at 1000 headed with the wind south with a 6 line spread. 3 flatlines, a 2, 3, and 5 color. 3 bodybaits and 3 DW super slim spoons. We zig zagged from 30’ to 50’ on the way to Arcadia. Caught on 15” coho and released. We headed back north into the wind and had two good rips with no one home and a third questionable rip and run. Best marks came on the 60’ and 63’ contours, but nothing really biting.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1
Rockin' Randy Posted October 20, 2020 Posted October 20, 2020 Good to know Three Dogs. My boat is in storage already. Frankfort's my home port though, might keep it out a little longer next year. Hope to get out on the pier or surf a bit. 1
Rockin' Randy Posted October 20, 2020 Posted October 20, 2020 Thanks Cadillac Grills for the surf report. Now I've got the itch. 1
Cadilac Grills Posted October 20, 2020 Author Posted October 20, 2020 I’m glad you made it out on the water. With all the wind we’ve been getting it must have been nice to get out.Sent from my iPhone using Great Lakes Fisherman
