Jack Osborn Posted July 27, 2020 Posted July 27, 2020 Fished from 120' to 175' then back again (NW and SE then due E) the only fish came on a Yeck single dingle lemon ice ( king 6 lbs or so) The plan was to go out then get back into 120' before the sun hit the water...didn't make it. Pulled the lines and got a first for me... alewife same spoon. Both "fish" came on same color but different down riggers 55' down and 35" back. Tried to keep speed below 2.5. Lots of fish and lots of bait. Should bode well for what we may see after a couple of weeks. Until then...tough fishing for our boat. 1
JDF Posted July 27, 2020 Posted July 27, 2020 Nice to get something silver out there. Been tough fishing in SH for me too. Great to hear about, and see the alewives! Good job.
dozer Posted July 28, 2020 Posted July 28, 2020 Seen the same thing Saturday morning. Went 1 for 2. Big steelhead 123ft on a double orange crush. Other was a dragger when we were pulling lines that came off. Seen the bait schools from 80 to 127 ft. Nice job on the king. Keeps the skunk out. 1
