Frankfort or Manistee

I am staying in Copemish the first week of July. Which port would you plan on hitting at this time?

i would go to Frankfort. Plenty of deep water not far from shore and the fishing is great. The Harrring Hole is about 3 miles south of the peirs and the water drops off fast 100+ foot water comes close to shore and not a long run back if the lake gets ugly. Good luck.

Frankfort is my #1 port just because it gets deep really fast and there is alot of structure there. Stop in the tackle box tackle shop and they can help you out with everything.

The last week of June /first week of July was as good as it gets in Frankfort last summer. Try to get a slip early or get to the launch before the 5am crowd shows up and you will be in good shape.
