GLF Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 Whats your favorite brand of spoon to use on Lake Michigan. If you do not fish Lake Michigan, please do not answer the poll.
Alligator Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 Moonshine's They sure do glow. I just wish they would hold up better.
GLF Posted April 14, 2007 Author Posted April 14, 2007 Moonshine's They sure do glow. I just wish they would hold up better. Look for the new line of Nitro spoons from Michigan Stinger They are coming out with 15 new glow in the dark spoons, and will be available this year in the Stinger, and Stingray sizes. I saw them at the Grand Rapids show, and they look AWESOME!
GLF Posted April 14, 2007 Author Posted April 14, 2007 They have already started shipping these spoons. Give Ray at Aurora Lites Tackle a call to get them.
silver one Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 Stinger number 1 all the way with silver streaks and fishlanders second and third. Also have a small number of northports that still produce a good number of fish and some are as old as 20 yr old from the days of the super tramp back in the early 80's.
Willie Bee Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 I still live on Pro-Kings Green n glow, black n green, for the salmon and double orange, acid, and bumble bee for trout. Solid performers for alot of years. In the morning glow bite Fishlander and Moonshine were topping the list with some Raiders, but the key was double sided glow and those spoons are getting away from that, I'm looking at the Denny Spoon for this years glow bite, keep a eye on the flip flop piranha, I like the boy blue color there.
Daddyo Posted July 23, 2007 Posted July 23, 2007 Been doing good all year on Streaks, and the new Warrior spoons.Daddyo
jimbobber Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 I like my Jp slammers and also moonshine spoons, but have used a lot of dream weavers before we had our own stuff.we hope to have better glow patterns for the 08 season.
fishin'magician' Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 Yeck has a 40th aniversery spoon coming out that will be avialable at the shows this winter. Super glow wartfrog. I cant wait:D
HitMan Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Wolverine Tackle is the company name that makes the "Silver StreaK" lure
Live2fishdjs Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 Use and like them all, but I'm fond of Pro-Kings.
Priority1 Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 I use a mix of brands, but I'm particularly fond of some of my home painted Super Glows. Don't U know, If it don't glow it wont go.
Adam Bomb Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 I use a rariety of brands, but i really like the quality of Dream Weavers. Their hooks are really sharp and they have some excellent finishes. Other heavy hitters for me are Silver Streaks, Stingers and Moonshines and Fishlanders. Fishlanders super glow green froggy was my #1 spoon last year.
Little Nemo Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 The Bloody Nose Fishlander Spoon in Regular and Glow and Regular size and Magnum size out produced every spoon on the boat last season for us on every rig we used it on. Riggers, Boards w/LC, Dipsies, ETC...Love em!!! Great action in the water and fish couldn't seem to leave them alone!! :grin
CaptLevi Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 If I could only use one Brand name it would be Stinger...HANDS DOWN.
1mainiac Posted June 30, 2008 Posted June 30, 2008 Moonshine Happi Meal and HiNRG are usually my first 2 in the water if it is still dark. I think next would be a toss up between Dolphin series and Veggie Series spoons. They all catch fish and Salmon will eat pretty much anything that don't eat them. My all time fav is the one that has my drag screaming at the moment.Tight Lines
BIGTREBLE Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 I'm a Flintstone man. Pound for Pound they catch more fish for me then any other. The best beign their Deep Sleep and Penguin
BIGTREBLE Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 I'm a Flintstone man. Pound for Pound they put more fish in the cooler then any other spoons on my boat. My best ones begin Penguin and Yellow Tail:cool:
dipsey diver Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 fishlander were my go to spoons, but know that they out of business I have been getting warriors. use stingers also.
aslongasitpullsback Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 I'am a flintstone spoon man too.... the finish on the spoon is way superior than all the other Michigan made brands... but they all catch fish.... in today economy the price is right too... I've seen them in some stores and on line buy 3 spoon and get the 4th free.... they have a new web site too.... just do a search on flintstone spoons....this is my 1st post here I hope to share and get good advice from all.....
Captjimtc Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 Recently I have taken a liking to Dreamweaver super slims spoons for copper and leadcore and usually Moonshine spoons for early morning or evening. fishing. I still have my favorites from Fishlander, Pro King, Northern King, And Wolverine Tackle also.
Just in time Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 I prefer Stinger and Dreamweaver spoons. Stingers on my core and copper with Dreamweavers on the riggers. Favorite spoon is the Stinger Stingray bloody nose glow.
