moktarr Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 Hey all. I am new here. I am a fisherman, mainly from shore in the Escanaba and Sault Ste Marie areas. I recently inherited some fishing gear and I am not sure I am going to use it. It seems like it is for deep water. I believe my dad used to use them for bridge fishing. When he passed the poles and reels went to my uncle and when he passed I ended up with them. Anyways the poles are pretty nondescript but all the reels look antique. They are Peer Penn or something like that, 4 reels 2 are the same, the other 2 are different. Are these an ok brand? I am not going to use them, but they are in amazing shape, if a little dusty. Thanks for your time.
FBD Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 Penn makes great stuff. Some of those reels are used around the great lakes. I run my half cores of lead on Penn 309's that are probably older than I am.
