Mega Byte Posted May 3, 2019 Posted May 3, 2019 We got a couple of small, throwback coho this morning before the rain chased us off. We set lines around 9 am and fished for 2 1/2 hours. We got one fish on a blackish UV spoon and another on an NBK spoon. Nothing on body baits or peanut flies. We had some good marks between 40 and 50 FOW. If we ventured too far away from the mud, the marks disappeared. The big thing in Grand Haven the last two days has been the perch. They are 8" - 10" perch and guys are getting them by the bucket full. DNR was at the launch counting to make sure people didn't go over their limits. There was a big pod of boats south of the pier getting after them. 1 mile south? 60 fow? Headed to Saginaw Bay for the weekend. 3
ZachEno Posted May 3, 2019 Posted May 3, 2019 Thanks for the report! I guess that means we should stick to our plan of going to South Haven for coho this weekend then.Sent from my iPhone using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
Perchboy Posted May 3, 2019 Posted May 3, 2019 How flooded was the launch area? Do you think we will be able to put in at the Municipal Launch this weekend? Thanks!
Mega Byte Posted May 3, 2019 Author Posted May 3, 2019 It rained a lot after we left. Parking lot was partially flooded when we were there. All the docks were usable though. Sent from my LG-Q710AL using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
