GLF Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 The ice was still holding by the middle of the week, but with rain in the forecast by the weekend, this could be the last ice of the season. Smelt were taken in 15 feet of water off the West Launch and the North State Park. Some nice yellow perch were taken in 12 to 15 feet of water. Those fishing near the Conference Center have caught rainbow trout in open waters near the mouth of the creek.
