GLF Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 Boat anglers trolling in the Bay have been catching brown trout and walleye on Rapalas in 5 to 15 feet of water. Pier fishing was slow. Shore anglers and those surfcasting near the Singing Bridge have caught steelhead and brown trout when floating spawn sacks.
nomas Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 Trolled Tawas Bay north of the pier today and took one brown on an F-11 Purple Perch. Also took a very nice smallie and lost another fish at the back of the boat. Stayed in 5-15ft of water all morning. Tom
Allies way Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 I too fished Tawas on Sunday. I fished from the launch south to the big concreat pilars and back. I ran from 7-12 FOW with stick baits on big boards and never had a release. We fished from 8:00-noon. Not a good start for the first trip of the year, but it was a great day fishing with my dad none the less. Sure felt good to be back in the boat again. Good luck, Steve
