Toad Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 Would this boat with a 25 HP 4 stroke be safe enough for some inshore trolling on Lake Ontario? It is a pretty deep boat. Thanks.
Priority1 Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 I would say that it's adequate, but common sense has to enter the picture. There are times when I wouldn't want to be out there in a 40 footer. It would also be nice to have a lil more HP.
Lead_Lover Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 we fish out of an alaskan with a 90 h.p. 4 stroke! pick your days and error on the safe side!
GLF Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 I have seen 14' flat bottoms with 25hp on Lake Michigan. Like Lead Lover said " Pick your days and error on the safe side." If you are going to venture out onto the lake, make sure you have the necessary safety equipment, including a marine radio(hand held will do).
RiverRat Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 I fish in my 2004 16'9 lund laker in lake huron and the St Clair River, I also use this boat as my tender boat while duck hunting in the fall and have incounterd 6 footers in the river and never once was I concerned that I was in over my head, Just use comon sense run the shore line or hit the big waves on a 45 and you will be fine,LUND THE BEST BUILT BOAT IN THE WORLD !!!!!!!!only the strong shall surive !!!!!
