Ship that landed on D-Day, then hauled autos, now a museum in Muskegon

The ship, the USS LST 393, was restored by veterans, their families and supporters and is now anchored in Muskegon, Michigan. Visitors from 40 states and 13 countries came to explore the ship’s history last year alone.  Read the full story by the Detroit Free Press.

They play movies on the deck after dark in the summer.  Have taken the kids a couple times.  Pretty cool experience, for a ship that was at Normand none the less.
