HOT HOT HOT. Finally got off work early when the waves were forecast to be good for the little 16’er. Blasted right out to 90fow and basically immediately after setting we started taking hits. We were only out for three hours and took around 11 hits. Only kept 4 because I physically can’t give away all that fish haha. So what worked? Divers back 91 and 121 with 8” flashers and flies with longer than normal leads. I want to say more than 3 wraps but I can’t remember (30” ?). Also super bright slim spoons on any presentation down 35’ to 55’. The fish seem to be slapping at the flies and getting hooked funny so if you’re losing a lot I’d make the presentations easier for them to zero in on. IMG_0659.JPG

Nice job.  The fish were still biting yesterday, and they were stuffed full of alewives.

Yeah mine were stuffed as well! Keeping the stocking down seems to be working. Let’s hope they keep the numbers down for a while so we can get a full recovery!
