Trolling with Diesel Engines

Any boats on the Great Lakes Salmon fishing with Diesel motors ?

Have 31L Whaler with 2x Cummins Diesels. Run one or other @ idle and feather trolling valve to get speed down to 2.5 to 2.8. Works great and no issues.

With Diesels typically trolling valves are needed. You can also run a big trolling bag to slow you. On a inboard I really prefer to run a bag when trolling on one motor. It helps keep the boat strait and it also makes the motor work a little harder which will provide more water running across the rudder and better steering.
