Archery720 Posted April 26, 2017 Posted April 26, 2017 For Sale - 1989 Starcraft Islander 221v 1989 22’ Starcraft Islander – This boat needs nothing! You could be fishing by the end of the day! I purchased this boat 3 ½ years ago to go salmon fishing, then I had a baby and I just don’t use it enough. Now I just buy salmon off the ice at Meijer. This is a serious fishing machine and I don’t feel like I am making good use of it, so it’s time for someone else to enjoy it. This has the gas sipper 3.0l 4-cylinder motor, you can fish all day for very little gas. This is a lightweight boat for its size, the previous owner used to tow it with a Jeep Grand Cherokee. It comes with a Load-Rite roll-on trailer. I am selling it with all the fishing gear and I don’t want to separate it. This would be a great package for someone looking to get out on the lake. I have invested over $10,000 in this boat and I am asking $7800. Located in Middleville, MI Texts preferred during business hours, calls any other time. 616-430-0789 I can send higher resolution photos if need be. Good: The previous owner went through the boat and put all new floors in it. New Uniden Radio with DSC and Distress Signal, NOAA Weather Alerts and MMSI Craft ID (Unregistered) Newer Lowrance Elite-5 DSI with Downscan Imaging and GPS plus lake charts Brand new tires with zero miles (got it out of storage and one was flat, one was a spare so I went and bought 4 new ones.) Transferable warranty included on tires. Spare tire with less than 200 miles 2 Spare props – Dinged up here and there and the old style hub to use them Canister horn – Works. I tested it much to the disapproval of my neighbors. First Aid Kit New snapcover in 2016 – a few snaps busted Two new batteries in 2015 – One deep cycle for running gear, one high cranking amps for the motor Battery switch with none,1, 2 or both New cabin LED lights – One main light in cabin one up front to read if laying down. Dash compass Old bimini top 400-watt Power inverter for running small 110v accessories 4 life preservers 4 Electric cast iron canon downriggers with swivel mounts – 2 extended arm 2 smaller arm One custom made stainless fishing rod tree 4 Big Jon tracks 8 Fishing poles – some with monofilament line (may need replacing), some with lead core Dozens if not hundreds of spoons – some unopened, dozens of plugs, some flys and flashers 5 dipsey divers 3 8-lb & 5-10 lb cannonballs 4 Medium Downrigger Release clips Porta Potty with chemicals & TP Rope Net Fishbox (igloo 32 or 48 qt cooler) Motor muffs for running it on trailer with a hose Oils, lubes, Stabil to help winterize when its time Rope Ladder for re-boarding (she sits high in the water) Bad: The steering is stiff (however I prefer it this way so it tracks better on the big lake) Most of the gauges work but shouldn’t be relied on. I would just fill it with fuel every time I went out. I took the boat through the entire inland waterway from Burt Lake at the State Park boat launch to the dam in Cheboygan and only used 20 gallons. (It has a 55 gallon tank I believe) That was about 40 miles round trip including full-speed stretches across the lakes. The wire on the downriggers may need to be replaced in the future. She is old, but shows very well and has a lot of life left in her. The throttle control seems to be a little temperamental and will keep it from starting unless you wiggle it to let it know it is in neutral. This was a minor issue in my mind and never interfered with me getting out on the water.
