Fishing off Frankfort piers

So up for few days turkey hunting and brought my pole. Anyone been doing any casting from the south breakwall?

probably very light pressure. I doubt u will get a response. Maybe look at the mdnr fish report will be out Thursday. I would just go for it. I think there's fish to be cought.

I'd say a good chance to hit a fish there this time of year. Having a spawn pole on the bottom would up your odds. If you have a cast net and can catch some ales if around, they can be killer fished on a pier spawn rig. That would make a nice 3 rod set.

if just taking one rod, cast some old school spoons. Cleos, ko wobblers. Krocks if anyone still have them. Glow if in the dark. Gold, with copper or silver, then the blue, green combos is the order I would pick.

Thanks all for the info. Turkey pretty quiet so may go down later this morning. Probably try the old school spoons first. Only brought a casting rod with me this trip.

Got a chance to cast for couple hours. Missed one on white & orange 5 of Diamonds. Seen carp starting to show up on inside of wall.
